| Hi, I am having a bit of difficulty tring to do a network that has a firewall hardware in it. I have a cable modem hooked up to a SonicWall TZ170 (192.168.0.1) in the wan port. Off of that I have a NetGear wireless router (192.168.10.1), I know it will only act as a wireless access point now. I can hit the internte if I am plugged up directly to the Sonic Wall Firewall but I can't get on the internet if I am plugged (into the OPT Port), or on wireless, to the Netgear wirelss router. I need some help on what the IP's should be and where they should be programmed on wich device. Any help? Jess dizydiz@gmail.com |

| Yeah, negative. I found out the hard way you need to have 3 subnets. One for the LAN on the firewall. One for the LAN on the wireless netgear router and another subnet for the connection between the two. Now I just have to set the static routs so they can talk to each other. |

| You should be able to configure your modem to be "Passive" so that it will pass the IP address given to it from your ISP to your Router. This is how my network is setup, but my modem did it automatically.
