Default Bus Topology

Hi Everybody,
Why we have to terminate the both the ends of the bus topology? Whats the concept behind in the termination process???????????

Well both ends of a bus topology have to be terminated to prevent the signal from being reflected back along the cable. If that happens, all workstations on the network belive that the network is busy and wait indefinately to send data. So, no computers communicate, and the network fails.
