Default BT Voyager upgrade problem!

hi i am having trouble upgrading from a BT 105 adsl Router to the 205.

when i remove the old software and connect the new one it installs the releavent software and then says the new router cannot be found on the network.

I have reset the 205 ADSL router and restarted it but it dosent seem to make any difference.

i am upgrading from the BT Voyager 105 to the BT Voyager 205.

Also i read that the 205 acts like a DHCP so users can share the conenction on the LAN. does this mean it will then overide the server DHCP settings?

I wish to connect the 205 to the LAN so Internet access can be shared. how can i share this internet access? I have a switch and cables, etc but i dont know how to set it up.

thankyou!

try this. restart the computer, if you haven't. i'm assuming that you have the cables hooked up correctly. But double check them just to be sure. only one dhcp server on a subnet! use one or the other or you will have problems. easiest to use this router's built in dhcp and then you can surf from any location.
