Default blocking urls

i am trying to block a certain url in my computer. I have windows xp, and am on a cable connection. i also have aol on here. when i block the url with my router, neither IE nor firefox will go to the site but aol will still go to it. i have tried blocking it on my router and even editing my hosts file, and the same thing happens, aol will still go to it. is there anything i can use to block just one URL in aol?

Doesn't AOL use an internal proxy or something that allows it to go around the router?
You might need to look at the software and configure the option there. I refuse to use AOL so I can't offer more than that...

good luck
