Default Blocking a certain IP address from accessing my PC

I'm hosting an FTP server on an old PC, but it seems that some strange IP is trying to connect to my server over and over again. My server refuses the connection, but I want to block all access from this IP. The intruding IP is 211.157.110.226.

The PC is a Pentium MMX 200MHz 64MB RAM running Windows 98 SE. I have a Netgear WGT624v3 router that, if it has this function, may be able to block the IP.

Peergaurdian and add the IP to the Block list. Reasearch your routers manual first, if you can do it at the router so much the better.

There will come a day, such a day when all will be told more than they wish to know, what one hears may explain the past, it may explain the future, but it has never made a difference either way and it will change nothing. Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know.

an ISP called ChinaComm has that IP in it's hosting range.
most likely a spammer or hacker probing you.
just simple go through your router and you'll probably find a setting in there to block a specific IP.
if not, use what Ste said.

type the IP in the Asia database here and you can get some more info about the IP
Welcome to APNIC
