Default Blocked Ports

I'm having issues with ports being blocked on my vista ultimate, 32bit lappy:

My utorrent port and WoW ports 3724, 6112 and 6881-6999 are all portforwarded correctly but i still can seem to ping them from a test page, utorrent doesnt show the green light for no network issues and WoW is running at horrible latency.

I'm using zonealarm free and both programs are also allowed in that, but just to check theres no issues, i switched it off and saw no change.

Im using this site to test: Open Port Check Tool

What else besides the router and firewall could block my ports?

Thanks!

I doubt your Wow issue is related to a blocked port. If that were the case, I am pretty sure you wouldn't be able to reach the Blizzard servers at all. Have you tried to connect the laptop via cable to the router to see if you get the same results?

I have and unfortuantely its the same thing.

I was thinking blocked ports as 6881-6999 are for multiple pc's on same network accessing WoW, which I have.
I cant understand what the prob is, after posting here for one evening there was no probs at all, great ping, but with no changes it went back to awful the next day.

I just dont get what the problem could be. ><

Should i be concerned that port test pages cant see my ports that i am trying to open?

Thanks.

I couldn't tell ya about the test pages... I have never used one, and haven't ever needed to open ports for gaming on a router. Only thing I have had to do is forward ports for HTTP and FTP access to my NAS box.

what router do you own? make sure your ports are forwarded to your local ip address. to find that, type "ipconfig" into command. also, disable windows firewall.

I have a Belkin wireless N F5D8633-4, with a static IP and ports forwarded correctly.
I dont use the windows firewall, never liked it.

Have you tried connecting the computer directly to the broadband modem to see if you still have the same trouble?

Also, is your wireless router open or secure? There's the chance your neighbors are leeching your bandwidth.
