I have a Internet Cafe and I want to block download all video & Audio like
.dat,.wmv,.mpg,.rm,.mp3,.wav,.divx etc. without my permission from the
server / individual clients. Some files are open directly in Windows Media
Player & other player, I want to block these files also without my
permission, Anyone can help me ?
I m using ......
OS Name : Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version : 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
in all my PC including Server & Client. I m using the server for Broadbad Internet Sharing only. I also used ICS to sharing the Internet

You might have to buy a router with Access control list, they usually cost alot, it will help filter out what you need. I think there are other cheaper method probably a firewall software or security tools you can installed on the clients and server.

I think it would need to have packet inspection, not just ACL's.

I have no idea how to block this stuff on a cisco router with ACL's, but I can block some of it with packet inspection.
