| True Techie | I have two LAN ports on my mobo, and one of them is bound to utorrent. Is there a way that I can bind the other one to Internet explorer/firefox? I want to keep utorrent seperate from the connection I am using for other applications...is this possible/worth it? Thanks

| EagleMod | Do both NICS connect to the same router, or do you have to seperate internet Pipes? If you have 2 seperate pipes to the internet, then yes, you would benefit from keeping the torrent traffic on one, and all other traffic on the other.... however, if both NIC's connect to the same router, then you have no benefit, as the 10/100 (possibly 1000) speed of the LAN is FAR GREATER than that of the ISP link, even if you have a Verizon FIOS connection.. If you have a large lan, and you are doing file transfers and whatnot within the LAN, you might benefit from putting that traffic on 1 NIC, and internet traffic on the other.
