Default Best Wireless Setup for me?

Hi all!

I need a simple network setup.

3 Computers in 3 seperate rooms (With BRICK walls)

1 Computer has DSL internet and I need to share it with the other 2 rooms.

What would be the best network configuration to deal with the walls and bandwidth? Or should I get out the electrical tape and put some CAT-5 cables along the ceiling?

And help would be appreciated, cheers.

well, you obviously want wireless...but instead of having it connected via a PC. have it in the most central of the 3 rooms (will provide best connection for all 3 rooms)

a Netgear router can connect up-to 4 computers wirelessly - you should have no problem doing this, but you will need to install the Disc on all 3 Computers

If you can do it , go the cat5 cable route. There is noting like cat5 cable. WI FI can be hit and miss. Plus it is a slight security risk to your network. There is also house electrical wiring networking. An oversimplified explanation is. The network signal runs on top of the 60hz current signal in your house wiring. You have special isolation devices that plug into the power outlets that isolate the power from the outlet, striping away the network signal. I have only seen this once . I think linksys and some other companies still implement this. For me I am too scared to try though they say it is totally safe. I would do the cat5

No its not if you security protect it, plus if you have brick walls, nobody outside will be able to breach your hubs security
