The Linksys cost more and has the auto MDI/MDI-X so you can't go wrong when using cross-over cable or straight through cable because it will detect and adjust to it. However that wouldn't be much of a problem if everyone learn the standard cabling for switch to switch or computer to switch and if you do know that standard, you'll find that the Netgear is more worth it for the price. However the Linksys has a limited lifetime warranty though, which you can't beat that for the price.

Every port automatically senses the right speed and full/half duplex mode, while Auto UplinkTM technology automatically adjusts for straight-through or crossover cables.
