Default Belkin router problem

Ive been fine for a while until recently when my connections started to crap out. The Belkin F5D7230-4 router seems to be filtering out all my connections. When I check the Security Log, it blocks a connection every second by DoS protection. The ip's are usually the second and third ones that comes out from "tracert" on websites like google.com. I figure if the router blocks the ip's, then the connections don't get through and I lag. Sometimes, my internet just freezes and I have to disable and reenable my network connection to get it to you. Does anybody know whats wrong and have any recommendations.

Have you checked to see if there are any firmware updates for your Belkin router?

Try and disable the firewall feature to see if that helps or not.

The firmware is up-to-date and disabling the firewall doesn't affect the logs that keep poping up. It still blocks the connections.

If it was working correctly before, my first thought would be to suggest restoring factory defaults on the router.

You've already stated that turning off the firewall on the router didn't help. So it could just need a reset.

The problem is, it crapped up after a firmware update and there are no firmware rollbacks. Ive reset more times than I have pressed the power button on my computer, resetting doesn't help either.

Would "heartbeats" be another symptom?
