Default Belkin FSD7630-4a

Hi I am trying to set up a belkin wireless adsl modem router.
The os is XP but the problem I'm having is that although the lights are on saying I am connected(to the modem) when I put 192.168.2.1 in IE it says page cannot be displayed.
I have set one of these routers up before with no problems. The system currently has a voyager modem from BT installed. I have tried disabling firewalls even forcing the network connection to use 192.168.2.1 as gateway but to no avail. PLEASE HELP

Can you ping the router? Have you run an IPCONFIG to see what the settings are?
Try a different cable. Make sure that the ethernet card has the right driver. If you pointed the system to the router as the gateway don't forget about setting up the DNS and subnet.

Sorted thanks. Forced the connection to use 192.168.2.2 with gateway as 192.168.2.1
Don't know why but dhcp was pointed at default ip and it wouldn't see router.
