Default access to synchronized files

i have a laptop with xp pro which has a folder that would synchronize with a network share in another country. Piece of **** crashed and i need to get that data back i know it is on the laptop because i was doing work with files on that server and i havent synch that folder in weeks.

How can i get that folder? its "My Documents" when i go to docs and sett that my documents folder is missing and in recent has a listing of all the files i was working on.......

I know that synchronize file feature stores the file locally on the computer so you have two copy from the original and the one you sync with to work offline.

The one you use to sync with, the files would be store in the temp folder under your user account I think. And the original data would be where ever the folder you put it in.

Best method is to use some sort file recovery tool if the folder no longer exist. It's possible it's still there.

i got a laptop that is the same model and put my hdd in, when i log on to the computer i can see my files in the my docs icon on the desktop but when i go to documents and settings the my docs in my user account i only see MY Pictures and My Music.I don't know where windows stores those files i will have to go to Microsoft KB to find out thanx................
