Lightbulb 256960 RWIN really pays off

Hi,
first of all i've got a 512/256 adsl connection it maxes @ 54kbps down
When i installed xp it came with an RWIN of 65550. i screwed around and did those tests @ dslreports.com and told me I need to lower my RWIN to some value between 5860-13140.
I tried these two values but it screwed my connection.
From 54kbps i went to 16kbps max.I didn't know what to do, because I am sick of reinstalling XP with everything just because i play with the tcp settings a little bit (netsh ip reset) doesn't revert all the tcp settings
so i read in the faqs of dslreports that an RWIN of more than 65550 is not useful for the range of my connection (sub 2 mb/s)
Anyways i tried a program called TZ connection booster and set my RWIN to 256960 and changed nothing else and TADA!! my internet connection is back to ~54kb/s max dl speed.
I have only 1 problem right now, that i am losing more packets than normal
My current loss rate is 1:50 compared to a fresh install with 1:380
Anybody got tips to tweak it more?
should i try an RWIN of 513920??
