| Ultra Techie | Okay, so I installed Ubuntu on my laptop (specs below). I couldn't figure out how to dual boot it, so I just erased everything and used Ubuntu. Only problem is that I can't get dial-up or wireless to work. I searched on the internet and found that my wireless card doesn't have drivers for Linux so that's kind of out of the question I guess. I can't figure out how to get dial-up working though. I went to Administration > Networking and I activated it, and did all the properties and stuff, but when I had it automatically check for my modem it couldn't find it. So I don't know which port to use. I will randomly change them and when I tell it to connect it will show the connecting box for less than a second and then it will disappear. My wireless card is a D-Link DWL-G630. Any help is definitely appreciated.
