I'm not sure what your talking about exactly. But you con log in remotely and you speed like that. I may not seem that way going over the network though. You can also have programs run on the server so you use the server cpu. That is more like a mainframe/metaframe idea. I don't think windows would do that considering most intel machine arn't made for that sort of processing. Unless you don't have very many users. When you have 2 users loged on doing that you lose that much speed. Remember cpu's only process one thing at a time.

If you want them to all use the faster computer then you can do this using the terminal server feature of win 2003. Set it up on the 2003 machine - this is nice and straightforward - and then they can just connect to it like they would use remote desktop, except multiple users can connect at once

Yes that feature is in win 2003 but i want that my clients boot from server directly that is they don't have their individual disks to load opreating system . i think u get my question " i want a diskless client which uses servers disk to boot and its speed to operate with "

Can this is possible ?

I need to do this in shortly otherwise i have to buy more pc's

Ahhh yes, this can be done. Sort of. Some fancy footwork, a couple of well-placed batch files, and yes, this can be done. The comps will not run at 3.2, but they should be a bit faster than normal. My dad did this to a couple of old P2's and they ran very well.

A little elaboration here:

The client computers will be running Remote Desktop, and, using a batch file placed in Startup Files, it will open the program and connection at startup. You can also fix it to never exit.

You will have to be running some Windows that supports Remote Desktop, so this will require some hard drive space.

This is just one of a few possibilites, of course.

Sorry its been a while since I responded; I've been pretty busy lately. Anyways I can not seem to find that batch file, and the only person who can write them other than me (I can't seem to remember how) is my dad and he's sick right now. Onec he is well I'll get back to you.

I really don't know...my computer has a network startup option in BIOS but it doesn't work and never has. If it can be done, it is probably not worth it.
