Default Where to install?

when i installed slackware i setup different partitions, /, /usr, /opt, /home. Am i supposed to install certain programs in these partitions?

/home/<username> is your directory, the rest of the programs will be installed automatically where they belong, /usr is the biggest, and most of kde goes in /opt

you really dont need to setup any partitions for slackware other than the main and swap, its optional, and for beginners I dont recommend seprate partitions unless you know what they are for, that way you dont have to worry about getting the sizes wrong or waste space
