Default Weird Stuff

Okay sometimes when I boot into Linux, my font is bigger for everything, and right now my clock is all screwed up and it won't let me change it. I right click on the time and go to Adjust Date & Time and nothing happens. WTF?

date -s <time> when logged in as root(commandline), if done from the GUI it should ask for your root password

in KDE 2.x and 3.0 it would crash the GUI if you tried to change the date that way, its a bug in the program

I use Kubuntu. The font has gone back to normal... I did a couple of reboots and went and ate dinner. I still can't change the time. It has the wrong time zone or something, I was able to go into root KDE and have it work but it still wont work in normal KDE.

GAH! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! Everytime I go into Kubuntu it has the wrong time, and it wont let me change the time! Plus everytime I log in it changes my hardware's time so it effects Windows, meaning I have to change the time everytime I log into Windows too.

command line as root:
date -s <xx:yy> where<xx:yy>=correct time

or update kde cause its a kde bug(clock issue), or use a different GUI

also make use system time is set to real time in the BIOS
