heh thanks

ok well i dl'ed the dvd iso of mandriva 10.1 to try and also ordered a few ubuntu disks so hopefully one of these will support all my hardware decently but for now i will not be moving to linux just learning i play alot of games so i will probly just dual boot (which i have done before) so i can still play all the games i want to easily. as soon as my mobo gets back which is by thursday at the very latest maybe wednesday i will try these out. thanks for all the suggestions

well i tried suse 9.2 but i cant seem to find the right driver for either lan port on my mobo so i am back to windows for now. i wouldnt care if i had any other driver as long as i can get online to try to get more info and stuff. im downloading the ubuntu dvd version and mandrake 10.1 dvd and will burn them soon but i think i will wait till i have my other hd so i will have a spare hd just for linux. i know i can dual boot but then i would have to resize my partition and stuff and i will just use another hd plus i need another anyway i heard gentoo is good to so i may dl it as well.
