Which version of freeBSD do I need?
I have an Intel Core-Duo E6600 and I am looking to install freeBSD, which version of freeBSD do I need, i386 or amd64?

E6600 = 64bit
You can use i386 OR AMD64/EM64T Linux or FreeBSD.
