Default Upgrade Kernel?

I'm currently running 2.4.29. Is there any reason why i should upgrade?

I don't know...the 2.6 kernel has some great advantages over the 2.4 kernel...but if you don't feel like getting a new one and don't need one, this one will do.

i dunno, with 2.6.8 it "has" support for auto-mounting usb-storage devices. ... but i've noticed that it does in the begining, which is nice, but it disappears somewhere when i am installing all my packages after the base install .... im not sure what causes it.
