Default Updating Kernel

I have a 64 bit processor but I am only running Linux at 32 bits. If I were to run it at 64, I would have to change the kernel right? How would I do this? (Suse 9.1)

I don't think it's possible. You would need to get a distro that is specifically made for x64.

SUSE 9.2 and 9.3 support 64bit, upgrade man

All you'll have to do is backup your data.

Here are some sites:

SUSE 9.2 ( full version)

http://distrowatch.com/?newsid=02238#0
OR
http://www.infos-du-net.com/en/telec...-CD-(KDE).html

The one above is a live .iso image (9.2)

SUSE 9.3

http://www.novell.com/products/linuxprofessional/

OR

http://www.novell.com/products/linux...ds/suse_linux/

With the 9.3 you can only d/l the live .iso DVD image, if you want the full install you'll have to buy it.

Hope this helps

Jake
