Angry ugh

this ipod performance is **** poor.

every time i unplug it and plug it back in, it becomes a different device, so its impossible to mount it. today its scsi7 (sdh) then i unplug it and plug it back in and its scsi8 or sdg this is ridiculous.

not only that, but my cdrom drives dont work for some reason. they're plugged in literally, i dont know why they dont work. i am part of the plugdev group ... this is lame.

i need a lot of help

This may be because you are simply unplugging it without properly unmounting it first. Try typing 'eject <device>' before unplugging it, where "<device>" is replaced with whatever the iPod is at the time.

If for some reason eject isn't working, try just the 'umount' command.
