Default ubuntu + wireless: need help!

Well, i finally got Ubuntu installed onto my laptop, but now im having trouble getting wireless. I have an Intel pro 3945 wireless card on a Dell notebook. I was wondering what i have to do to get it working. I am completely new to linux so the information i found so far about this problem has confused me. I'm trying to read up on using linux but i also need to get the wireless working soon.

Any help is appreciated

Look into NdisWrapper (http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m....php/Main_Page)

Wireless card manufacturers don't often release Linux versions of their drivers

Depending on your card, you might need different drivers.

There are afue different ones, main cards are usually

Prisim/PrisimGT and Athero's.. Athero's use Madwifi-ng drivers and work great, not sure about the others.. simple google of your card and then "linux" should be sufficient in finding what you need. You could also add "compatibility" on the end.
