Default Ubuntu failed update

Yeah 3 of my ubuntu updates failed, is it because i'm missing repositories?

That's weird, cause you shouldn't have to add any extra repositories to get core updates. Do you have any kind of firewall installed? Or maybe for some reason or another you just couldn't connect? I don't know what a 403 forbidden is, but that definitely isn't how it's supposed to work, you shouldn't have to do anything to receive updates.

Have you added any other repositories lately? I've had issues where an added repository messes up standard, working repositories. Forbidden might mean that the key file (every repository has one) is corrupted, so try fixing that. First, try disabling any "other" repositories (ones you added yourself) and then refreshing. Also look to make sure you have all the key files (should be in System -> Administration -> Software Sources).

No, i haven't added any repositories. But i'll check anyways. thanks for help.

Got it! In software sources, source codes had a "-" on it so i clicked it again for a "checkmark" i reloaded it, tried my update and VOILA!

I hope its a good future reference for people who experience this problem.
