Geez, calm down people. It's just a matter of preference.

You just have to find the right mirror. Most were getting 10-50k, but a Swedish one worked fine for me @ ~250k.

Ah man this sucks, Edgy made my network quit working. It identifies that the device is there but I can't get any connection. I've messed with the network settings too. What else can I do to get it working?

Post your /etc/network/interfaces and tell me what kind of network card you have.

I have an onboard Realtek 8100C chipset.

Code:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

#auto eth1
#iface eth1 inet dhcp

#auto eth2
#iface eth2 inet dhcp

#auto ath0
#iface ath0 inet dhcp

#auto wlan0
#iface wlan0 inet dhcp
As you can see, I've already tried commenting out the ones that don't exist.

Try this:
Code:
sudo -i
modprobe 8139cp
modprobe 8139too
/etc/init.d/networking restart

Hey, it worked! Thank you!

I figured I would have to do a modprobe, but I don't totally understand how they work. Where can I find some good info on it?
