I know it has a GCC Compiler...

where the **** is it and how do I use it? what directories, etc??

You should just be able to run "gcc". Worst come to worst, sudo apt-get install gcc cpp

i have pico, but i can't compile using 'make'

Are you in the directory with the make file?

If you have make, and you are in the directory of the make file, then either you are making a typo, or the make file is broken.
