Default TVtime parental advisory

yeah i was wondering if you could put a parental advisory on TVtime, cause we got the tv tuner card and everything but my dad was telling my if there isn't a parental guidances or channel blocker i cant use it.

Or does anyone know any other software that picks up tv tuner cards and is able to disable channels? I'm not looking for something like mythtv though. Just actually tv stuff.

Thanks~!

Default Re: TVtime parental advisory

If it has a program guide then it probably has parental controls. I doubt it would have parental controls if it doesn't have a program guide, as the rating information comes from the guide. I bet MythTV has it, but you said you don't want MythTV (which I haven't gotten working anyways). I don't have my TV tuner hooked up to our TV line, I just use it (as well as my TV) to play games (yeah, I'm not much of a TV watcher). I'll need to try this TVTime thing, as I haven't found any good Linux TV tuner/capture card programs.
