Default Suse 9.1 sound

[B][I][COLOR=indigo]I'm presently using Suse 9.1 Professional (rather have my Mandrake 10.1 Powerpack). I can get Kaffeine to play as for as the video, but can't get any sound. I'm thinking my MOBO might be too "new" for this older Suse. Nvidia Nforce 4. I don't have a separate sound card, only the onboard. The sound worked fine when I had installed Mandrake before. Anyone have any cure? Since I'm a Linux newbie anyway, I'm assuming that it won't work to put the disc in my system that came with the MOBO to install the drivers, etc., right?

Thank you Charles. I'll try this when I return as I have to go out of town today.
