ok here's the deal.......i am looking at installing linux on my comp as a summer project just to learn how to use it and such. the last time i used linux (suse) it was really screwy although i think that had more to do with my linux skills than anything else.:sigh: anyway, i would like some recommendations about a (free would be ideal) good linux distribution that's easy to learn but will give me experience running and using linux. all suggestions would be appreciated.

there is a dvd iso you can download for it but make sure you can burn it from linux because you are not going to be able to copy it over to any windows fat32 partitions.

if you get a good cd burning program it can burn the iso's without any problems, i've had friends do it just fine...
