GameGURU is on a distinguished road

Question Someone tell me why...

Mandrake 10.1 always freezes whenever I try to start it!?

It always freezes at "Loading USB Filesystem"

So I dump my USB devices and then it loads to run level 3. Not 5 with KDE or gnome...but 3. Then I try to startx, and it gives me a bunch of kernel panic errors and other dumb things.

I assume the startx failing is because of my 6800 GT not passing the silly test during installation...but still.

Grr...

Mhm, you could try to configure your card through the xfree86 config again without having to install it over again, but usually you wouldnt get a kernel panic just because of that. I think you just type: XFree86 and then it starts up.
