Default Some q's about F@H on linux.

I finally got F@H to work on linux, it is just running in terminal though.

Now on the guide on the F@H website it advised running it as a backround process in a round-about way. I didn't feel like doing more since it is working fine right now.

Is it okay to just leave the terminal open and let it run? Will it lose all the work on a W/U if the terminal is closed or the computer restarts?

If I have to restart the computer will I have to run the cd/ folding etc... etc to get it running again? Will it continue mid W/U??

sorry for all the questions...

Thanks,
Lance

1.) Sure, why not?
2.) Sorry, couldn't tell you. I don't have much experience with F@H.
3.) Add it to your start up scripts and you're set.

What you may want to do is use Alltray and Xterm. That way it will be running in a terminal that's minimized to a tray icon.

if you run it without cd'ing to the directory it should store the configuration files and work in your home directory, therefore run it in terminal without changing to the directory to configure. after that you can add it to your startup scripts and it will run in the background.
