Default Slackware Only/ Removing Dual Boot

I started out with an 80gig HD with Xp on it. added a 160gig HD and installed slackware 10.1 on it. on the 160 i have a partition, hdc3, with files i want to keep.

i would now like to install slackware 10.1 on the 80 and remove it from the 160. do i just boot with the install disc, fdisk the 80 and the partitions that currently have sw10.1 loaded? will i have permission problems accessing the hdc3 files i want?
