scanjet 4890 = sane no-go

any way i could use this scanner without having a native windows installation?

i get error mesasges when i connect it to vmware

i havent tried running the software in wine/crossover office yet cause its like 250 megs, but is there any reason to try?

short answer, no, sane does not support that scanner

yeah i knew that.. and the hp software wont run in wine, but i got it to work in vmware, its just really slow hah, but i think if i wait a few months it'll be supported
