Way cool, my friend, I will be giving this little trick a go very shortly. Thanks for this great info. I'm a diehard Linux user and I've never heard of it.
I wonder how development with Emacs and other programs will go, I'm anxious to get started...lol

alot of this is the same reason as running a LiveCD (knoppix, ubuntu, etc) most people are comfortable in windows and are scared of linux.

if you can bring linux into their comfort zone, then you have made it easier for them to make the switch, or just to try it and learn

thats my take on why i prefer emulation to live cds and such

i will be writing another tutorial shortly on installing a linux distro such as red hat or suse, and running it in windows as a complete OS

always been able to run linux in windows, first one I remember was called trinux.....put it on a DOS partition and run it from windows

why indeed is the real question
