| I have a problem with doing that, the first part worked fine but then the
rpmbuild -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
or
rpm -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
Will not work, neither of those work, for 1 it says "unknown command'' and the other gives me another message similar, it wont build the file |

| when i typed in locate rpmbuild it was found in "usr/lib/librpmbuild-4.2"
I followed that from the usr/src/redhat directory (Where SPECS is located) with this command:
usr/lib/rpmbuild -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
And received this:
usr/lib/rpmbuild is not a directory
I tried:
usr/lib rpmbuild -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
And received
usr/lib is a directory
So I tried:
usr/lib/librpmbuild -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
usr/lib/librpmbuild is not a directory
usr/lib rpmbuild -bb SPECS/broadcom4400.spec
usr/lib is a directory
Any help from there? |

| Well, I have some bad news, I did what you said, and here is what happed..
After using rpm -bb... Still nothing
Then I extracted the .tar.gz file to a directory (when i used xvzf it gave me a whole bunch of error messages, so used the GUI's extracting program. It created the src directory with 9 files... 1 was a .gz file and had a file called Makefile in it....
I typed make and here is the result
"
gcc -DMODULE -D_KERNEL_ -DDB 6=0 -Wall -Wstrict -prototypes -06 -I/usr/src/linux/include -c -o b44um.o b44um.c
make: gcc: command not found
make: ***[bcmum.o] Error 127
And if I extract the Makefile file and type make Makefile I get this message
nothing to do for Makefile
