Default Remote desktop WinXP > Linux

hey i wanted to know if it was possible to connect to a linux machine using remote desktop so that i can manage my server remotley without a monitor or anything using xp. thanx.

I use SSH to connect to linux account for school.
I recomend XManager, if you go down that road.

Download PuTTY and use SSH, just make sure you have SSH installed and open through your linux firewall.

Or get the tightVNC viewer and use VNC. If you need to get to the desktop.

If you are using ubuntu i know that you can goto setrtings>preferences> remote desktop> then check the apropriate areas

I only use open VNC for local connections but when I'm at school i tunnel vnc through ssh so the only port u need open is port 22 and all of your stuf is encrypted, the only downide is it is a little slow but its not like your playing games remotly or anything
