Post RedHat linux 9.0 booting Problem

Hi,

I've installed the Redhat 9.0 .But when it starts to boot the machine It says a error message called "<0> Kernel panic:Attempted to kill init" Error Code:ff 50 10 eb d0 eb 0d 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 .If you about this ,pls help me .

More than likely you have some hardware that isn't supported by Redhat 9.

Any reason you are using such an old, outdated, no longer supported OS?

I agree with the hardware issue. Is this a relatively new machine or an old school box?

bootloader is probably installed wrong, try using the setup disk to boot from that, enter root=/dev/hda1 at the prompt if you used IDE cable 1 master as the install drive
