If you are talking true "Red Hat" then thats my recommendation, I say this only because I am bias, I've been using RH for many years. It rocks. If you are talking Fedora its easy out of the box but not stable.
Slackware is an awesome distro as well. I use it on my development machine at home.

Bottom line Linux is Linux, its what's packaged around it that makes distros unique.
Choose one, learn it, learn to love it.
