hi

i use Fedore core 5 and ive tried to install RealPlayer10GOLD.rpm

The installation was successfull.

Problem:

I'am not being able to run the application.


ive searched in directories of linux and found that realplayer is located in

usr/local/RealPlayer/***

NOTE:

*** means that there are subfolders for the RealPalyer program!!

can anyone help me out plz, i want to run the progam but its not starting.!!!!!

are you looking for an icon to click?

try opening a console and type "real" and press then press tab

if that gives you a command that looks like realplayer, then hit enter

ive tried the command u told me i'am getting message :
[root@localhost ~]# real
bash: real: command not found
[root@localhost ~]#

ive tried this also

[root@localhost /]# cd usr/local
[root@localhost local]# ls
bin etc games include lib libexec RealPlayer sbin share src

[root@localhost local]# cd RealPlayer
[root@localhost RealPlayer]# ls

codecs doc LICENSE plugins README
realplay.bin common lib mozilla postinst
realplay share

[root@localhost RealPlayer]#

ok how can i proceed from now on which file must i execute so that the program works!!!!

there should be a manual for the program from where you got it from. try reading that.
