Default Random Song Transfer to MP3 Player

I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 (it works great, BTW), and would like to transfer some songs over to my MP3 player. Unfortuately, I have about 10 times as much music as storage space on the MP3 player. It's just a cheap off-brand thing, and is read as a thumb drive.

Is there any way to randomly select songs from either different folders or genres and place them on it?

Default Re: Random Song Transfer to MP3 Player

You could always create a random playlist in your favorite audio player then drag the songs over. Or write a shell script.
