Default Quick XP/Ubuntu question

What was the OS that combined the two?

Andone have a download link?


And, can you run windows games on it?

There is no OS that combines the 2. There is Wine. It is downloadable via the Package Managers.

Some Windows games can run on it. Check the Database for all the details.

I was under the impression that there was a version of Ubuntu with certain windows XP things in it.

No. You can make it look like XP. But there is no Linux with Windows things built into it. That would be illegal. Plus it woudl violate the Open Source GPL Agreement as well.

There are plenty of things you can go to Ubuntu to make it look and feel like Windows but other than that no. You have to do all the work.

I think the FOSS type OS you are rearing to is BeOS it's basically just another NT based os with Windows support looks ok but its still in alpha.
