SHNAPPS is on a distinguished road

Default Quick Question...

Is one able to run ubuntu on one hd and windows XP on another hd while they are both simutaneously connected to the same system? O yeah and i dont mean that i want to run both ubuntu and windows at the same time. I just want to run one or the other but dont want to have to open up my tower to switch hd. And if so how do you do it?

I dont think he wants to dual boot one hard drive, he wants to run xp on one HD and ubuntu on the other

so 2 harddrives

yes you can do this easily.

When booting up, go into your bios and select which hard drive you want to boot before the other

Why? Use GRUB. It works with multiple partitions as well as harddrives.

It works exactly the same way, having two harddrives or two partitions.

Using the BIOS is a complete and total utter waste of time, use GRUB as macdude425 has said.

I have 5 harddrives in my computer, and I use GRUB. I NEVER use the BIOS 'cept for overclocking.
