I have made several attempts to install slacware but so far I always got the same error. I get to the part where it starts to install Kernel-modules (SMP) and than it gives me this error and I can no longer use the keyboard.
What's the error and what are the specs of the PC?

Well I am installing it so far on a virtual machine. The error I get is, "killed." After which the screen freezes and that is it. I am installing slackware 12.1 on a Vmware 6.0.X ACE.
All I can suggest is check the integrity of the download and try again. I found a reference to "Killed" in part of the busybox code and it could be displayed as a message on it's own... but I don't have an answer for you. I don't know enough about vmware to know of any additional complications it might cause.
