Default A problem on my Monitor Driver

TFT Monitor: Sharp LL-T15A4-B
Operating Sysyem: Redhat 9.0

In my redhat 9.0 system, I cannot change my screen from 800*800 to 1024*768 in the default monitor modal.

Therefore, i am trying to find a suitable monitor driver for my monitor. After a long time trying, what i could find is this one,
http://www.sharp.co.uk/customersuppo...ers.asp?id=200

but, it seems that this package is only available for windows system.

Can someone tell me where i can find this driver for Redhat9.0 system.

Thanks.

You dont need a monitor driver, what you need is a driver for your video card. Try either the ATI site or the NVIDIA site depending on what card you have.

I have already installed the graphic card driver in my redhat system, it is a GeForce4 MX graphic card.

However, there are only two choice for me one is 800*600 the other is 640**. I cannot change it into 1024*768.

any idea?

what size is your monitor 15"?? linux doesn't like doing large resolution on small monitors, my laptops at 1024x768...but i don't really mind i guess. you may be able to find some sort of a mod out there...i'm not all that sure, haven't checked into it that much..
