Ok I installed Kubuntu. But when I turn it on, there this multicolor screen, likie some web or what ever. And that all. its dont do any thing else.
Is it cannot recognize my video card? or what?
I have Geforce 7800 GT.

nothing. They kubuntu loud the stuff and about to start. but then frize.

Sounds like it doesnt work with your video card, you will need the nvidia drivers and install them using its own script. Your also gonna need the kernel source, and gcc cause ubuntu doesnt come with those either.

have you checked ubuntu's website for help and directions? Did you check your hardware for compatibility first? Im guessing NO, it is a good idea dont you think?
