Alrighty all, since I tried this topic in other technology based forums, I figured why not post it in TF!
I've currently been working with debian linux on my laptop, being a Pentium M 1.73 ghz(with 512 MB ram) it measures around 3400 bogomips. Although just recently I installed it on VMWare with a P4 2.8 ghz with hyperthreading. Smoked my laptop with 5600 bogomips! :eek:
Although this may be a small measurement compared to a lot of you out there with custom machines and overall MUCH better machines than mine, so presents the intention behind this topic:
Post your bogomips, with your genereal hardware configuration, and we'll see how everything compares.
The command to show your processor info (for those of you who don't know) is 'cat /proc/cpuinfo'
