Default PHP Problem?

OK I've got almost an untouched Slackware 10.1 installation on my computer running as a webserver, with the default Apache installed. I want to install the phpBB forum on the webserver. I copied all the files to the right directory, but when I go to the install page I don't see it properly, I only see source code. I'm thinking this might be a php problem. Is php installed by default in Slackware 10.1? How can check, and does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

horndude is on a distinguished road

Default

log in as root
type pkgtool and then select remove apps that are installed, and check the list to see if its installed, unless you selected install everything during install its an optional item, but its on the install disk, probably in the /ap directory or /n directory on cd 1

or another way to see whats on your system is to check /var/log/packages
