Question Which Os Shall It Be Lads?
WHICH OS SHALL IT BE LADS? Gentoo 1.4 XP, Knoppix, or redhat fedora core 10?

i also want to know if you can find a link to a page with linux compatible hardware... im looking for a linux compatible external firewire ide hdd and an external linux compatible firewire modem
any input would be greatly appreciated!

Fedora for me... i think it's very compatible with most hardware.. ..

n' i think it's really nice to use too ...

Knoppix i like for it's flexibilty .. just take it anywhere on a disc .. n' u have a fully graphical linux box ..

i hear gentoo has a command or something that searches servers for chosen software.(through console)

does this work?
is it any good?

Fedora gets my vote. Yeah it is compatible, but it is a real pain to get some thing working properly. But still it is good.
