Default Which OS is the most "Out-there"?

Hello. Lately I've been experimenting around a lot with the new release of Ubuntu and Kubuntu, and I was hoping that they wouldn't be like Windows at all, which they are very different, but they're a lot like Mac which I already have experience with so it wasn't much new stuff to me. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows about an OS whose GUI is completely different, like apples and oranges, than Mac and Windows. Really I just want to be challenged to learn how to use a completely different OS. So if anyone knows of such an out-of-this-world operating system, please let me know. I would prefer to be able to run it off a live CD, but even if it can't it's not a big deal. Thanks in advance!

It's not the OS that looks different, its the X Window system, you don't really see the OS, you see programs. I have Slackware and it comes with like 3 different X Window systems that you can choose from. You can also download different GUIs.
